HACC Service Principles Consultations February 20, 21 & 22

The HACC Reforms Reference Group in conjunction with Disability, Ageing and Carers has commissioned two projects which are important components of the service reforms. These projects will provide a framework and resources for services wishing to:

  • Evaluate the impact of the implementation of the HACC Service Principles;

  • Understand the most effective ways to engage consumers and carers in all levels of service planning, design and evaluation.

The Collaborative Projects have been asked to assist with the facilitation and dissemination of information for the consultations. Ronda Held and her team will be consulting with a range of  Providers and Service users across a number of regions during the latter part of February 2012.

Disability Ageing and Carers would like to see consumers and carers supported in attending the HACC Service Principles Consultation. They have advised that HACC funding should be used to cover any associated expenses such as transport respite etc. to support consumers/carers to attend the consultations. If this is not possible please contact Diane Holty  Diane.Holty@dcsi.sa.gov.au (8415 4323) to discuss options.
